Fatal ATV accident: Lewis Marble, 85, Ray, died at the scene Friday afternoon after the Honda ATV he was riding across U.S. Highway 53, four miles east of Ray, was struck broadside by a southbound semi driven by William J. Ross, Toledo, Ohio. Ross was not injured.

Search and rescue: Deputies located Lester W. Cockayne, 82, Loman, near the Black River Wednesday morning after he failed to return home while bear baiting in the area. Deputies searched Tuesday until about 3 a.m. Wednesday, and found him when the search resumed later that morning.
