International Falls Fire Department House fire: A rental unit at 716 7th Ave., owned by Jeffrey D. Wickstrom, Falls, was damaged when a fire started in a bedroom, according to the report. The fire was reported at 4:30 a.m. Monday by Falls Police Officer Terry Christie, who was on patrol. The bedroom sustained smoke and heat damage and the rest of the house was filled with smoke. No one was home at the time of the fire and the cause has not yet been determined, said department officials.
