Police Report

Arrest: Steven M. Evans, 35, of Missouri, was arrested April 9 as he attempted to enter Canada at International Falls. According to the report, Evans was stopped because an Amber Alert notified law enforcement that he had taken his two children from Lee Summit, Mo., without permission of their custodial parent. On Wednesday, he remained in custody at the Koochiching County Jail awaiting extradition back to Missouri.

Vehicle theft, recovery: Ronda R. Boron, 517 Seventh Ave., reported April 9 that her vehicle was taken from the front of her residence. According to the report, the vehicle was recovered later that day on the 300 block of Sixth Street. No damage was reported.
