What are your thoughts on the gun-control debate?

For the first time in about 20 years, the White House and Congress are seriously considering Brady Bill-like laws. They supposedly would try and curb gun violence following enormous public pressure after Sandy Hook, other school shootings as well as Chicago's myriad street killings and more, random mass murders .
