Off road: Lisa M. Strong, 53, address unknown, was taken to the hospital by ambulance Monday after the vehicle she was driving left Highway 11 and entered the ditch near County Road 1. The Minnesota State Patrol handled the accident, but no report was available.
International Falls Fire Department
Cooking: Firefighters responded at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday to the Rainy River Community College dormitory, Highway 11-71, where they cleared smoke from the building after a small fire was caused by cooking.
Snowmobile: An older model snowmobile in a garage was damaged Tuesday morning after it caught fire in a garage at a residence on Town Road 398. A department spokesman said the fire was extinguished by the time firefighters arrived, and they spent a short time using an infrared camera to ensure it was out.
International Falls Police Department
Hit-and-run: Scott M. Kinnear, 43, Emo, Ontario, reported Wednesday that the rental car he was using was struck in the left rear bumper while parked at Menards, 1985 Valley Pine Circle.
Collision: More than $1,000 damage occurred when an International Falls city loader driven by Justin J. Mostad, 34, Highway 11, and an Arrowhead Transit bus driven by Wendy K. Matiski, 60, 13th Avenue, collided Tuesday morning at Third Avenue East and 20th Street. No injuries were reported.
