Rainy Lake Medical Center Auxiliary met Sept. 3 for their monthly meeting with president Sonia Wegge presiding. She led the group in reciting the prayer for hospital auxiliaries.
Monthly reports were given.
Kelly Millerbernd was present and spoke about several hospital regulations to be observed. She also said that school tours for youngsters could be held in the spring.
Corresponding secretary Mary Ann Lien reported on cards sent during the past month..
Membership chairperson Beverly Beck reported that membership stands at 74 members.
Gift shop chairperson Helen Billig presented the gift shop treasurer's report for the past month. She stated that the gift shop has been decorated for the fall season and fall merchandise is out on display.
Bea Brown will chair the annual bake sale planned for November. A nominating committee will be chosen which will present a slate of officers to the group for voting.
Upcoming events include the Fall District B meeting to be conducted Oct. 3 in Cloquet. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program will host an appreciation and awards program banquet Oct. 23. Invitations will be sent out.
Attendance prizes were awarded to Millerbernd and Sadie Darvell.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be Oct. 1 at the hospital.
