The Ranier City Council Monday is expected to consider changing the cost of fees involved in hooking up to the Ranier water system to $300.
The council meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Ranier Community Building. An agenda is considered tentative until the government body begins the meeting and makes additions or deletions to the proposed agenda.
City Clerk Kim Nuthak told The Journal that because of annexation, existing hook-up fees would be combined into a flat, minimum fee. The change will likely result in a decrease in the fees.
In other business Monday, the council will consider a request for a building permit from resident John Bruggeman, who has proposed to construct an addition to his garage located on Duluth Street.
The council is also expected to hear an update on the Three Points North water line project.
