Area youngsters — and adults — appeared eager to be outside Sunday as temperatures saw a 64-degree temperature difference from when school was canceled due to the cold Jan. 24. The Ranier hill and rink was a busy place last weekend when skaters glided across the ice and sledders soared down the hill in sleds, snowboards and even a laundry basket.
