Spelling bee winners
With the help of several community members, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School conducted its annual spelling bee Jan. 8, 2013. Serving as pronouncer was Marge Veeder. Diane Adams, Pat Kjellgren and Kim Literovich served as judges and Fr. Kris McKusky was recorder. Winners of the spelling bee were Clara Davis, Eric Earley, Brady Amerud, Connor Sutherland, Matthew Rousseau and Holden Sutherland. The students will now advance to the Duluth Diocesan spelling bee scheduled for Jan. 28 at Queen of Peace School, Cloquet.
