Night League penalty shot

At right, Jonathan Hampton is shown shooting a penalty shot around goalie Wes Gunnerson in a Night League last July at Bronco Arena. The Night League is also part of this year’s Falls Summer Hockey Camps, which run through July 18.

The temperatures right now aren’t ideal for playing ice hockey outside, but that wintertime sport will be going on for the next two weeks inside at Bronco Arena.

The Falls Summer Hockey Camps will be taking place there from July 7-18.

In addition to the camps for boys and girls going on during the day from Monday through Friday for Termite, Mighty Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee and Bantam players, two teams have been formed for a night league for hockey players ranging from the high school level to adult.

Camp director Kevin Gordon has released the schedule of activities for the next two weeks, which is listed in the chart linked to this story, along with the roster of players for the night league.

The Purple team includes goalies Wyatt Ulrich and Kyle Sjoblom along with players Willie Corrin, Jake Youso, Lucas DeBenedet, Matt Levine, Jordan Tilander, Wyatt Boyum, Riley Nemec, Tyler Coffield, Brandon Podpeskar, Abby Auran, Jenna Anderson and Jakob Eide.

The Gold team includes goalies Austin Kalar and David Routier along with players Marty Goulet, Jon Carlson, Bryce Knapp, Kyle Knapp, Tim Heinle, David Pryde, Christopher Kostiuk, Kane Kostiuk, Lexi Erickson, Emily Saari, Josh Gouin and Brett Lindvall.
