Given snowy surroundings and the same course that was used three months ago, Saturday morning’s “5K for Relay” to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life could resemble January’s “Freeze Yer Gizzard Blizzard Run” in more ways than one.
Saturday’s 5-kilometer race, which also has the slogan “Race for more Birthdays!” and begins and ends at Rainy River Community College, starts at 9 a.m. with same-day registration beginning at the college at 8 a.m.
The 5K, from which all proceeds go directly to the Relay for Life, is now $25 to enter. The Relay for Life itself will be taking place later in the day inside the college from 2-10 p.m.
