Amy and Abby Auran, ages 17 and 15, participated in the Warrior Dash on Sept. 7 in Hugo, where more than 5,000 were at the event.
The Warrior Dash is a 5-kilometer run with several obstacles, such as jumping fire pits, climbing walls and crawling under a barbed-wire fence through the mud.
Abby Auran finished 83rd out of 182 in the 14-19 female age group, while Amy Auran won that age division and also finished ninth among all females.
Amy Auran, currently a senior on the Bronco girls cross country team, will be enrolling at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls next fall to play hockey and pursue an Elementary Education degree as well as take part in ROTC.
