Gunnar Anderson will be able to set a Bronco boys basketball career scoring record as long as International Falls keeps winning in the postseason.

The senior guard broke the previous record of 1,368 points set by DeAngelo Brackins from 2005-07 when Anderson scored 24 points March 1 at Deer River in the regular-season finale.

Anderson, who entered this season with 949 points, reached 1,000 career points last December in a road win at Chisholm. He is now up to 1,396 points after an eight-point outing in Wednesday’s Section 7AA Tournament home victory against Duluth Marshall.

Nicole Friend, who played for the Bronco girls basketball team from 1999-2003, holds Falls’ overall career scoring mark at 1,571 points.
