The Littlefork-Big Falls baseball team has received the No. 9 seed in its Sub-Section and will open the Section 7A Tournament at 1 p.m. today with a road game against No. 8-seeded Northeast Range.
The Vikings, who have just one win this year, lost their regular season game against Northeast Range.
The winner of today’s tournament game will face the Sub-Section’s No. 1 seed, Deer River, in a game set for 7 p.m. Wednesday in Grand Rapids. L-BF also lost its regular season game against the Warriors.
Broncos No. 4 seed
International Falls will open the Section 7AA Tournament with a home game next week. The Broncos have received the No. 4 seed in the North Sub-Section and will host No. 5-seeded Greenway at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Falls split the two regular season games against Greenway.
The tournament game winner will play at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Hibbing against the winner of two South Sub-Section teams, either top-seeded Cloquet or No. 8-seeded Crosby-Ironton. The Broncos have yet to play either team this season.
