International Falls won its third game in a row Tuesday, cruising past Borderland rival Littlefork-Big Falls 64-27 at the Falls High Gym.
Twenty-five players saw action in the varsity game, including 15 for the Broncos.
Heaven Grinsell scored a game-high 14 points for International Falls (10-13), followed by Hanna Heibel (12 points), Sophie Fredrickson (11) and Rachel Foss (7).
Littlefork-Big Falls (1-16), which dropped its ninth straight, got a team-high eight points from Kari Imhof and seven points from Brooke Millerbernd. Liz Bobst and Haylee Gates tallied five points apiece.
The Broncos were coming off an impressive 67-58 win Friday at Virginia. The Falls lost to the Blue Devils earlier in the season 47-39.
Three Broncos finished in double figures Friday — Grinsell (18), Heibel (16) and Reva Renollet (15).
With three home games left in the regular season — Duluth Marshall (Friday), Orr (Feb. 22) and Cloquet (Feb. 26) — Broncos head coach Shawn Gilbert expects his team to pull off a No. 3 seed in the Section 7AA tournament. However, three straight victories could lead to a No. 2 draw.
The Section 7AA tournament begins March 3.
In junior varsity action, the Falls defeated L-BF 42-33 to 18-5 overall with three games to play.
