The International Falls boys hockey team split two games the Broncos hosted last weekend at Bronco Arena.
On Friday, the Falls trailed by only a goal going into the final period before giving up a pair of goals late and losing to Hibbing, 4-1.
Hibbing scored first 2:39 into the first period on a goal from Joe Kanipes. The Bluejackets then took a two-goal lead when Eric Riihinen scored with 51 seconds to play in the period.
The Broncos' only goal came with 36 seconds left in the opening period when Jordan Tilander scored assisted by Luke Spilde and Jackson Vollom.
The score remained at 2-1 until late in the final period when the Broncos pulled Wyatt Ulrich out of the net for an extra attacker on the ice and gave up an empty-net goal to Hibbing's Ty Bridsall with 1:10 to play.
The Bluejackets added a power-play goal by Kylan Yoki right before the final buzzer.
Ulrich made 29 saves in a losing effort, while Bluejackets goalie A.J. Allison stopped eight of nine shots he faced to record the victory.
I. Falls 2, Proctor 1
The Broncos took a two-goal lead Saturday and held on to defeat Proctor, 2-1.
Jakob Eide got the Falls on the scoreboard 6:29 into the first period on a goal assisted by Jakob Ettestad.
The Broncos led 2-0 when Tilander scored assisted by Spilde and Wyatt Boyum with 13:19 left in the second period.
The Rails' only goal of the game came on the power play with 6:31 left in the second period when Cade Hella scored assisted by Shane Gould, after which neither team scored again.
Ulrich made 27 saves to record the victory in net, while Proctor goalie Tanner Haedrich stopped 24 of 26 shots in a losing effort.
I. Falls 3, LOW 2
The Falls scored all three of its goals in the final period Tuesday when Brady Walls recorded the game-winner with 8 seconds remaining for a 3-2 victory at Lake of the Woods.
Ettestad and Vollom also had third-period goals for the Broncos, who improved their season record to 3-1.
