International Falls’ junior high girls swimming and diving team placed seventh with 257 points at the Little Giant Invite hosted Saturday by Mesabi East.
The individual events for grades 7-9 took place by grade, while the three relays combined the grades.
The Broncos picked up three first-place individual finishes.
Ninth-grader Abby Kostiuk won the 100-yard backstroke in 1 minute, 9.84 seconds.
Eighth-grader Emma Misner won the 100 freestyle (1:03.37), while eighth-graders Emily Saari and Claire Herzig went 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.52 and 1:22.27, respectively.
Saari added a runner-up finish in the 100 individual medley (1:16.69), while eighth-grader Carolann Stone placed second in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
Falls’ 200 medley relay team of Kostiuk, Saari, Misner and Herzig came in second in 2:09.11.
Herzig had the Broncos’ only other top-three finish by placing third in 50 freestyle.
