In the final meet before next week’s Section competition, International Falls’ girls swimming and diving team won Tuesday’s “Pumpkin Quad” hosted by Mesabi East.

Chisholm and Northeast Range also participated in the four-team event, in which the Broncos won six of the 12 events and placed runner-up in three others.

Falls senior Sarah Todd was a double individual winner by placing first in both the 200-yard individual medley (2 minutes, 37.71 seconds) and the 100 breaststroke (1:19.79).

Todd was also part of two winning relays. She joined Abby Kostiuk, Emily Saari and Breanna Shofner to place first in the 200 medley relay (2:06.18). Todd and Shofner combined with Kari Arnold and Courtney Klow to win the 200 freestyle relay.

Shofner won the 50 freestyle (27.36), while Kostiuk placed first in the 100 backstroke (1:09.61).

Klow added a runner-up finish in the 100 freestyle (1:04.25), while Jessie Hell placed second for the Falls in the diving competition with 155.1 points.

The Broncos’ other runner-up finish came in the 400 freestyle relay.
