International Falls’ girls golf team closed out its regular season schedule Thursday when the Broncos placed fifth at the Virginia Invite.
Grand Rapids won the meet with the low team score of 330, followed by Hermantown (342), Eveleth-Gilbert (360), Cloquet/Esko (363) and the Falls (375) filling out the top five.
Katie Sheetz of Grand Rapids won individual honors with the top score of 75 for 18 holes.
Broncos senior Malinda Porter ended up on the “All-Tournament Team” after finishing in a three-way tie for seventh with an 85.
The three other Falls golfers whose scores counted toward the team total included senior Kelly Blair (90), senior Alyssa Bergstrom (99) and sophomore Katie West (101).
The Broncos compete next in day one of the Section 7AA tournament Tuesday at Giants Ridge.
