The Littlefork-Big Falls softball team won three recent road games to improve its season record to 10-1.

On Friday, the Vikings defeated Lake of the Woods, 22-9.

Of L-BF’s 14 hits, three players — Courtney Pfeifer, Brooke Millerbernd and Kristy Horne Dunn — had three hits apiece. Millerbernd doubled and tripled, while one of Horne Dunn’s 3 hits was an inside-the-park home run. Paige DeLack added 2 hits for the Vikings.

Pfeifer pitched a complete game for L-BF, allowing 8 hits while striking out seven.

L-BF 12, N-K 1

On Monday, the Vikings defeated Nashwauk-Keewatin, 12-1.

Horne Dunn was the winning pitcher after working four shutout innings, allowing 4 hits. Pfeifer gave up a hit and a run pitching the final three innings.

Of L-BF’s 11 hits, Breann Larson, Claire Simon and Millerbernd had two each with Millerbernd recording a double and a triple.

L-BF 12, Chisholm 3

On Tuesday, the Vikings tallied 10 hits when they won at Chisholm, 12-3.

L-BF scored six times in the second inning, which featured back-to-back home runs over the fence from Horne Dunn and DyAna Imhof.

DeLack doubled and tripled, while Millerbernd added a pair of doubles for the Vikings.

Pfeifer pitched all seven innings to record the victory, allowing 2 hits while striking out seven.

L-BF plays Thursday at Blackduck before coming to the Falls on Friday to face the Broncos.
