Morgan Bruess

The Broncos’ Morgan Bruess (3) is greeted at the plate by her teammates after hitting a home run in the second game of Thursday’s home doubleheader against Lake of the Woods.

After not having defeated Lake of the Woods the past few years, International Falls’ softball team dominated both games of Thursday’s home doubleheader against the Bears.

“The kids hit the ball, and the pitching was pretty consistent,” said Broncos head coach Kevin Gordon.

The Broncos’ winning pitcher, Morgan Bruess, pitched all five innings, giving up 4 hits with five 5 walks while striking out six.
