In the final varsity track and field meet leading up to next Wednesday’s Sub-Section at Hibbing, International Falls competed Thursday at the Warroad Invite.

Falls girls head coach Jen Erickson said the Broncos had only half of the girls team competing at Warroad with the other half participating in the junior high Iron Range Conference meet in Grand Rapids.

With only sophomores and above competing for the Falls at Warroad, the Broncos placed fourth out of six teams.

The host school, Warroad, won its own invite with 174 points, followed by Roseau (149), BGMR Freeze (130), the Falls (116), West Marshall (32) and Lake of the Woods (17).

The only first-place finish for the Bronco girls came in the 4X200-meter relay. The sophomore team of Breanna Shofner, Jaci Scholler, Amy Auran and Hailey Fentem had the winning time of 1 minute, 52.7 seconds.
