After getting crushed by No. 8 Lake of the Woods in three decisive games Sept. 29, Littlefork-Big Falls vowed to play better.
Sitting with a 5-4 record then, they now have a 13-8 record and own some momentum.
“We really decided to make a point of trying different things after that match,” Vikings head coach Kim Wimmer said.
Monday night the Vikings throttled an inferior Tower-Soudan team at home 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-14), and are currently riding a three-match win streak. They’ve also won six of seven, including their fourth straight Bigfork Tournament championship.
“We’re working hard. We’re doing some things better,” Wimmer said.
Haylee Gates led the way with 13 kills and seven ace serves. Brooke Millerbernd tallied two kills, Hannah Hell finished with one kill and two ace serves and Courtney Pfeifer posted two ace serves.
Tower-Soudan falls to 2-16.
The Vikings play again tonight at Deer River.
