Monmouth College women’s water polo goalkeeper Morgan Bruess of International Falls has been named by the Collegiate Water Polo Association as the Defensive Player of the Week among NCAA Division III teams.
At last weekend’s Utica Round Robin, Bruess recorded 29 saves in four matches and was in the field for the Scots' other two games.
Bruess, a business major at Monmouth College, which is in northwest Illinois, is the daughter of Steve and JoDean Bruess. She graduated from Falls High School in 2012.
