Nick Reece of Borderland Combat Sports improved his Mixed Martial Arts record to 2-1 Saturday night after winning an amateur bout at 170 pounds as part of the “Downtown Showdown 4” at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis. Reece won on a second-round submission due to strikes over John Melina, who fights out of the Twin Cities.
