Forty players entering grades 9-12 have come out to play football this fall for International Falls, Broncos head coach Jay Boyle said Tuesday.

Practice for Falls’ football team began Monday. Boyle said the Broncos will hold their own scrimmage starting at 10 a.m. Aug. 22 at Sports Stadium.

Falls has a scrimmage set for Aug. 25 at Virginia, prior to regular season opener at 7 p.m. Aug. 31 when the Broncos host Foley.

Of the eight regular season games on the Broncos’ schedule, four will be played at Sports Stadium, including the regular season finale Oct. 17 against Greenway/ Nashwauk-Kewautin.

Falls finished 2-6 last season and failed to qualify for the Section 7AAA playoffs.
