Falls High School senior Morgan Bruess has announced her plans to enroll at Monmouth College in Illinois this fall and swim for the Fighting Scots.
Bruess, who was a captain last fall on the Bronco girls swimming and diving team, will be coached at Monmouth College by Alex de la Pena, who enters his second year at the helm.
Bruess competed in various swimming events for the Falls and last November came within 37-hundredths of a second from qualifying for the Class A state meet after placing third in the 100-yard backstroke in the Section 7A finals.
This spring she has also been a pitcher/infielder for the Broncos’ softball team.
