Willie Corrin, a 2010 International Falls High School graduate, scored the winning goal in overtime Monday when the Fargo Force defeated the Sioux City Musketeers, 2-1, in game one of the best-of-three series to open the United States Hockey League playoffs at Scheels Arena in Fargo.
Corrin, who is in his second season as a defenseman for the Force, scored what he called the biggest goal of his career to give Fargo its second overtime win in postseason history.
He scored just three goals in the 2011-12 regular season, but added 23 assists.
Corrin has been recruited to play college hockey next season at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
