The Borderland Racing Association will be hosting the WISSOTA Super Stocks on July 14 at 7 p.m. at the Emo Speedway.
“Not only do we expect a solid field of WISSOTA Super Stocks, we expect really solid car counts in our weekly classes as well,” said Anthony Leek, President of the Borderland Racing Association.
WISSOTA Super Stocks last attended the Emo Speedway from 2006 to 2008, with no less than fifteen cars in attendance each time. Competition comes from all over the region, from Winnipeg, to Thunder Bay and throughout the Midwest United States.
“Bringing an additional class to the track for a special event adds to the program so much and creates a unique atmosphere of entertainment,” Leek said. “The tough battles the class displays every time they go onto the track pushes you to the edge of your seat.”
WISSOTA Super Stock drivers from Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Bemidji, Hibbing, and Grand Rapids are expected to attend as well as fans from all over the region.
Racing at the Emo Speedway on July 14 starts with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. Grandstand gates open at 6 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for students/seniors, $4 for ages 6-12 and children 5 and under are free. Family packages are $25.
In addition, all three weekly classes will also be participating in the July 14 races, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, WISSOTA Modifieds, and Emo Street Stocks.
