Nash Jr., a 1975 Falls High School grad, helped bring sound to the Minnesota Twins’ new outdoor home
Harry Nash Jr. will forever be linked to Target Field.
The 1975 Falls High School graduate helped install a lot of the sound system at the new outdoor home of the Minnesota Twins, including the 300-pound speakers that hang off the canopy (there are 13 of them).
There are 20 more speakers built into the canopy.
“And so far so good, apparently,” Nash recently told The Journal. “It’s getting good reviews.”
Nash Jr., who plans to return home this summer for his 35th high school reunion, has worked for XYZ Audio Visual, Inc. for about 10 years. Parsons Electric won the bid to install the speakers and numerous other technology systems, but XYZ Audio Visual, Inc. subcontracted with Parsons Electric. Nash Jr. worked at Target Field from February of 2009 to the middle of November.
When the canopy was near completion, there was a “topping-off” party, Nash Jr. said, and workers were given an opportunity to add his or her signature to the final steel beam that was installed. Nash Jr.’s autograph is on that beam.
