The International Falls area’s youth wrestling team, the Mighty Mustangs, won a third-place trophy in the team competition at Saturday’s tournament in Cloquet.
The team tournament was set up for each team to have 10 wrestlers in 10 weight classes. Other teams competing were from Elk River, Cloquet, New Prague, Hibbing, Blackduck, Grand Rapids, Nashwauk, Greenway and Aitkin.
In the individual competition, the Mighty Mustangs had 20 wrestlers place in the top four.
First-place finishers, by name and grade, include: Caydon Lehman, second grade; Nick Hedtke, seventh grade; Diego Christianson, second grade; Maverick Wolden, sixth grade; Jessie Maki, sixth grade.
Second place finishers include: Jake Olson, Kindergarten; Nicholas Bernath, first grade; London Rasmussen, fifth grade; Charlie Bannert, prekindergarten.
Third-place finishers are: Devin Lehman, sixth grade; Andy Johnson, sixth grade; Josh Maki, second grade; Dan Briggs, fifth grade; Kalan Kittelson, kindergarten; Pablo Christianson, prekindergarten; Evan Degagne, kindergarten; Brandon Tilander, second grade.
Fourth-place finishers are: Hudson Mann, first grade; Pierce Gouin, first grade; Alex Jensen, first grade; Kaeden Rostie, kindergarten.
