Astronomy volunteer Don Graves, who is a biology professor at Hibbing Community College, will lead an evening of viewing the Perseid meteor showers Sunday at Voyageurs National Park.
This program takes place from 9:30 to 11 p.m. at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and insect repellent.
The program is weather dependent. To find out if the event is being held, call the Rainy Lake Visitor Center at 218-286-5258 before 5 p.m.
This program is sponsored by Voyageurs National Park Association. No fee or registration is required to attend. Recommended ages 10 and up.
