FHS girls swim meet postponed
The winter snowstorm that arrived Thursday in northern Minnesota resulted in the postponement of the International Falls girls swimming and diving meet scheduled Thursday in Warroad.
Though the ground in the Falls area remained snow-free during the day, Broncos head coach Jill Herzig said the storm already arrived in Warroad before noon Thursday when the meet was called off.
The meet has been rescheduled for Oct 11.
Falls initially was supposed to host Warroad/Roseau, before the problems surfaced with the tiles in the FHS swimming pool, which has been unavailable so far this season.
The Broncos’ next meet is 5 p.m. Tuesday at Grand Rapids.
L-BF volleyball match with N-K canceled
The forecast of severe winter weather for northern Minnesota on Thursday also resulted in Littlefork-Big Falls’ home volleyball match against Nashwauk-Keewatin being canceled.
The Vikings play today at a tournament in Bigfork.
