Rain prevented the start of the International Falls Fusion 18U softball team's season Wednesday when a doubleheader at Park Rapids was called off.
The Fusion 18U team has a tournament scheduled this weekend in Winnipeg, prior to playing a home doubleheader this coming Wednesday starting at noon against Greenway.
The Falls this summer is fielding 14U, 16U and 18U softball teams with a total of 22 girls among the three teams, said coach Jeff Kerry.
Falls' Junior League baseball team also didn't play a home doubleheader as scheduled Wednesday against Fort Frances because of the rain.
The Juniors' next games will be a home doubleheader Monday starting at 5 p.m. against Mesabi East.
