Rainy River Community College women’s basketball and softball head coach Dieter Humbert has released the names of 15 basketball and 11 softball players who have committed to the Voyageurs for next season.
“We’ve got a good group coming in,” Humbert said.

• Mariah Childs, forward, Milwaukee, Wis.
• Alisha Brinker, forward, Holdingford.
• Armanee Cross, guard, Lake Worth, Fla.
• Ava Atkinson, center, Coral Springs, Fla.
• Danielle Spearman, guard, Chicago, Ill.
• Ida Nash, guard, Alaska.
• Misty Olson, guard, Alaska.
• Jessica Alvarez, guard, Buckeye, Ariz.
• Kierra Glover, forward, Milwaukee, Wis.

RRCC softball commitments
Four players from Canada on last season’s Voyageurs softball team have committed to return next season, including:
• Chelsea Poulton, catcher, Carman, Manitoba.
• Kristin Cruickshank, infielder, Regina, Saskatchewan.
• Colby Redhead, pitcher, Leduc, Alberta.
• Kendra Charrois, infielder, Edmonton, Alberta.
Six of the seven new softball recruits are from Minnesota. They include:
• Rachel Clarke, outfielder, Westlock, Alberta.
• Lynsi Emery, infielder, Greenbush.
• Emily Jerome, outfielder/pitcher, Roseau.
• Brandi Cronk, infielder, Pine City.
• Sammy Herriarty, outfielder, Mendota Heights.
• Oashaja Dobie, pitcher, Big Lake.
• Alisha Brinker, outfielder, Holdingford.
While Poulton is recovering from a knee injury she sustained playing softball in Canada this summer, Humbert said he is still in the process of recruiting additional softball players for depth at catcher and in the infield.
