An open house planned for Nov. 15 will allow members of the public to see the latest route alternatives for U.S. Highway 53 in Virginia.
The highway must be rerouted due to a termination of easement rights.
The open house will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mountain Iron Community Center, 8586 Enterprise Drive South, Mountain Iron. The Mountain Iron Community Center is located on the south side of Hwy 169 between Mineral Avenue and Mud Lake Road.
Open house attendees will be able to see the latest route alternatives, discuss the layouts with project staff and leave comments.
There will be no formal presentation.
