For the second year in a row, Viktor the Viking, the official mascot for the Minnesota Vikings, made a visit to Indus School Jan. 8 to instruct students about healthy eating and staying physically active.

Viktor appeared in person, and presented a video tour of Winter Park, home of the Minnesota Vikings, in which various members of the Vikings organization gave a “behind-the-scenes” look at the Vikings, while encouraging students to lead healthy lifestyles.

The special guest interacted with the audience, handing out prizes to students who gave correct answers to questions and then giving away Viktor Activity Books and Fuel Up to Play 60 purple and gold wristbands to each student.

Even though some students had seen Viktor last year, the program was equally as exciting to them the second time around!

According to Program Coordinator Lois Lewis, Indus School has an active Fuel Up to Play 60 program, which is sponsored by the Midwest Dairy Council and the National Football League. School nurse Christine Hagen assisted with the arrangements for this year’s program.
