As the snow started to melt and thermometers peaked to 39 degrees Tuesday, Christine Ford and her four daughters, Ryan, Quianna, Loralai and Kieren, wasted no time pulling their bikes out of the garage and taking to the streets. Wearing smiles, the youngsters dodged puddles and avoided patches of snow and ice to complete a bike ride around town. Toward the end of their adventure, one of the girls was overheard saying, "I'm getting chilly." Her sister replied, "Who cares, we're finally riding our bikes." Weather reports indicate the last time Borderland had an almost-40-degree day was Jan. 10.
