Brian Edward Servis, 61, of International Falls, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at his home.
Brian was born Dec. 10, 1949, in International Falls.
He graduated from Falls High School Class of 1968.
He lived briefly in Iowa and Nebraska. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973.
Brian worked as a handyman and laborer. He enjoyed collecting antiques, going to auctions, and refinishing furniture.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Sr. and Delores Servis.
Brian is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Ted (Tammy Grendahl) of Kasson, Minn.; daughter, Stephanie Gunderson of Northfield, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Fred and Roy “Butch” Servis Jr. of South Dakota; sisters, Joyce Roppe of Eveleth, Minn., and Rae Lene Tyner of Oklahoma.
A graveside memorial service was conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 15, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars section of Forest Hill Cemetery with full military rites.
