Mildred Marie Neuenschwander, 91

 

Mildred Marie Neuenschwander, 91, of Macomb, Ill., (formerly of Lake Kabetogama and International Falls, Minn.) passed away at 2:55 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb

Mildred was born Aug. 2, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., to William and Bertha Blum Wokersin.

She married Charles (Charlie) Neuenschwander on Aug. 2, 1941. They were married 64 years during which they owned and operated Calm Bay Resort on Lake Kabetogama for 27 years.

After selling their resort in 1984 they resided at Border Bob’s and assisted with operations there until Charlie passed away June 10, 2005.

Mildred moved to Macomb late in 2005.

Mildred was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William Wokersin.

Mildred is survived by two sons, Robert (Kathleen) Neuenschwander of International Falls, Minn., and Chuck (Ann) Neuenschwander of Lakeview, Ark.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Rudisill of Petaluma, Calif.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Private services will be held in Northern Minnesota at a later date.
