Rainy River Community College has announced a new program in the health sciences.

The associate in science health science degree is a 60-credit general program with instruction in the basic sciences, as well as subjects related to various health occupations.

The associate in science health science degree is designed to provide a smooth transfer to health science related baccalaureate or four-year programs at all seven Universities in the MnSCU system in fields such as community health, exercise science, nursing, dietetics, corrections, psychology, social work, health education, and more.

The curriculum includes courses in general biology, microbiology, human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, nutrition, probability and statistics, psychology, sociology, ethics, and more.

With careful planning, students can earn the associate in science health science degree and associate in arts degree concurrently. Academic advisors are available to answer questions and assist students through their educational processes.
