After trailing by only four points at haftime, the Bronco boys basketball team went down to defeat Thursday at Duluth Denfeld, 78-56.
Falls head coach Derek Dowty said Denfeld was the biggest team the Broncos have faced this year, as the opposition’s size and pressure ended up being too much for the Falls in the second half.
Four Denfeld players scored in double figures with senior guard Derek Meger scoring a game-high 23 points, followed Jodeston Robinson with 16, Sam Humes with 14 and Andrew Laughlin with 13.
Josh Owen led the Broncos in scoring with 16 points, while Gunnar Anderson added 15, including three 3-pointers. Ben Humbert had nine rebounds for the Falls.
