Littlefork-Big Falls’ girls basketball team returns the bulk of its players in 2011-12 as John Larson begins his second season as head coach.
His list of top returning players includes sophomore Brooke Millerbernd, who was a Northern Lakes All-Conference selection last season.
Other top returning players are seniors Paige DeLack and Cassy Hawkinson and sophomore Abby Thompson.
With only guard Rachael Van Drunen on Larson’s list of key losses from last season, he said in 2011-12 there is a “cohesiveness of all the players on the team.”
“They want to win as a team,” he said.
Last season the Vikings went 1-22 with the only victory coming against Hill City by two points.
“Last year turnovers were a huge issue for us as a team,” Larson said. “This year we are hoping to improve in this area.”
Larson said he is looking forward to “watching this team grow every day and get better.”
