The International Falls volleyball team was victorious at home on the Thursday of Homecoming week by sweeping Ely in three games, 25-17, 25-20, 25-8.
“We did a lot of little things so much better — our passing — and we were able to run a little bit quicker offense that we were working on,” said Broncos head coach Erin Shikowsky. “But we also played defense. We kept the ball in the air, we blocked, so I think overall it just was a much better effort than we’ve had so far.”
Junior Jenna Vergeldt led the Falls with seven kills and had five blocks, while freshman Tessa Walls added five kills, six blocks and two ace serves.
Other statistical leaders for the Broncos included junior Reva Renollet with four ace serves and 19 set assists and senior Kelsey Foss with nine digs.
