For the second time this season, International Falls’ boys hockey team has trounced Eveleth-Gilbert.
In Tuesday night’s road game, the Broncos shut out the Golden Bears, 10-0.
“We played three periods of solid hockey,” said Falls head coach Bruce Elson.
Christian Kittelson recorded a hat trick for the Broncos, while Lucas DeBenedet provided two goals and three assists. Single goals came from Brett Musich, Mason Meyer, Joel Skirten, Colten LaFrance and Jack Bragg.
Falls, which led 5-0 after the opening period, outshot Eveleth-Gilbert, 43-17.
Wes Gunnerson recorded the shutout in goal.
The Broncos, who improved to 7-5, also shut out the Golden Bears at home last month, 8-0.
Falls ended a two-game losing streak following last week’s 1-2 showing at the Warroad Tournament. The Broncos finished the round-robin tournament in third place following Friday’s 4-3 loss to Warroad.
The Broncos fell behind 3-0 to the Warriors in the first period, before Meyer scored Falls’ first goal in the second.
