Five touchdowns weren’t nearly enough for Littlefork-Big Falls on Thursday afternoon when the Vikings opened their nine-man football season at Bigfork.

Bigfork trounced L-BF 60-36.

The Vikings fell behind 30-8 after the opening quarter and trailed by as much as 40 points in the third period.

A statistical bright spot for L-BF, which scored all of its touchdowns on the ground, came from Bryce Burmeister, who rushed for 128 yard on eight carries and a touchdown. His six-point scamper in the first half went for 61 yards.

Tyler Vork led the Vikings in receptions with six for 52 yards.

Quarterback Rylan Henrickson completed seven of 13 passes for 57 yards with one interception.

L-BF, which will face Bigfork at home on Oct. 19, next hosts North Woods on Sept. 9.
