After holding Fond du Lac Ojibwe to a single field goal in the first half, Littlefork-Big Falls’ girls basketball team picked up its first victory of the season in a big way Thursday by winning 66-10.

L-BF head coach John Larson said the Vikings played well on defense as they led 45-2 at halftime.

“It’s nice to get the first win of the season,” he said.

Three L-BF players each scored more than the entire Fond du Lac Ojibwe team combined. Brooke Millerbernd led the Vikings with 18 points, followed by Abby Thompson with 16 and Paige DeLack with 12. Thompson also hauled in 12 rebounds to record a ‘double double.’

Thursday’s game was the first of four consecutive road contests for L-BF. The Vikings return to action Monday at Bigfork.
