Littlefork-Big Falls’ volleyball team lost a match for the first time this season when facing some Class AA and AAA schools on Saturday.
The Vikings went 2-4 at a tournament hosted by Pierz High School.
L-BF, which is in Section 7A, won both matches against West Lutheran, a Class A school, but lost to Class AAA Faribault, two Class AA teams — the tournament host Pierz and Holdingford — and Browerville from Section 5A.
The Vikings placed eighth in the nine-team tournament.
L-BF 3, Hill City 0
L-BF swept a home match Tuesday against Hill City, 25-14, 25-22, 25-11.
The Vikings’ statistical leaders included:
• Brooke Millerbernd, fours ace serves, 11 kills, 17 digs.
• DyAna Imhof, three blocks, 12 kills.
• Paige DeLack, 19 set assists, 14 digs.
• Breann Larson, 17 digs.
L-BF, which improved its season match record to 13-4, next plays on the road Thursday against Nashwauk-Keewatin.
