Littlefork-Big Falls’ volleyball team improved to 6-0 Tuesday night after sweeping Ely at home, 25-14, 25-15, 25-21.

“The game could have been a little better, but it’s still a win, so I’m happy with the end result, anyway,” said L-BF head coach Sarah Bradley.

Bradley said Ely was a more competitive opponent than the Vikings had faced in their previous two matches against Northland and Bigfork.

Aside from the final game against Ely when the Vikings brought in reserves and saw a sizable lead narrow, the second game had been the closest when L-BF had to battle from behind before tying the game at 12-12.

The Vikings then took control of game two with five straight points before Ely would score again.

L-BF’s statistical leaders for the match included:

• Chelsey Ziemba, six kills, four ace serves.

• Abby Thompson, five kills, three blocks.

• Courtney Pfeifer, five kills, three ace serves.

• Brooke Millerbernd, three ace serves, nine digs.

• Breann Larson, 10 digs.

• Paige DeLack, 18 set assists.

• DyAna Imhof, three blocks.

L-BF next hosts Chisholm at 7 p.m. Thursday.
