Rainy River Community College’s volleyball team dropped two matches at Northland on Wednesday. The Voyageurs lost to Itasca in four games, 19-25, 25-23, 14-25, 22-25.
Haylee Gates paced RRCC with 21 kills, while Tiffany Schumacher added 12 kills and 16 digs. Nakita Estling had 35 set assists and Kelly Sorensen had 23 digs.
The Voyageurs lost to Northland, 21-25, 23-25, 16-25. Gates led RRCC with 10 kills. Sorensen had 10 digs and Katrina Wreggitt had 5 blocks. Nakita Estling had 19 set assists.
RRCC will be off until Sept. 9 when the Voyageurs open MCAC Northern Division play at Itasca.
